Butler’s mindset

It is often misunderstood when stated that the fitting mindset to perform in a family office is a butler's mindset. When people hear "butler," they often think of roles like groom, housemaid, chauffeur, or nanny, rather than a family office. However, the intended meaning is to provide the very best service and to protect the family's interests exclusively and fiercely.

In everything done at WMC, this butler's mindset is maintained. When running an M&A deal, the team acts as the family's voice. When choosing an advisor, the most aligned individual is selected. When hiring a new CEO, loyalty is prioritized over skills. Crucially, when addressing the family, the team respectfully stands their ground.

For the team, supporting a family isn't just a job; it is a butler's mission in its noblest form. This involves stewardship, sturdiness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the family. It makes all the difference.
